Chief Audit Executive Roundtables
Audit Roundtables - Invitation Only
As a service to the healthcare internal audit community, AHIA has been working to organize CAE Roundtables across the country. These roundtable discussion groups offer a unique and valuable opportunity for CAEs to discuss common concerns and challenges, to share lessons learned and to brainstorm with their peers on solutions and best practices. AHIA CAE Roundtables are held by invitation only (please contact AHIA regarding your interest in receiving an invitation), at no charge, and offer CPE credits.
We have recently seen a dramatic increase in membership interest in attending these events. We regularly offer roundtables at the annual conference - and they are always a big hit - leaving CAEs to want more frequent opportunities to gather closer to their home base.
Critical success factors in the success of these events include:
- an organizer to host and help coordinate event location and other onsite logistics
- a skilled facilitator to keep the dialogue going
- engaged CAEs willing to participate in discussions
If you are interested in participating in, facilitating or organizing an AHIA CAE Roundtable, please take a moment to complete this brief survey.
Once individuals step forward with their interest, and we have established regional groups and identified hosts, AHIA can help with all the logistics. These are easy and informal events. Organizers and facilitators have AHIA committee and staff resources to assist with time preference requests, agenda development, sponsorship, invitations, registration, event confirmations and post event evaluation and issuance of CPE certificates.
The participants develop the agenda in advance, which typically does not involve formal presentations. It is meant to provide a forum for discussion. Event length varies from half day to two-day programs.
Visit the AHIA website to view the upcoming schedule of regional seminar events planned throughout the country. If you would like to host a CAE Roundtable event in conjunction with one the regional seminars, that would be ideal!
We look forward to providing you with an opportunity to network with CAEs in your region. We will be in touch as AHIA CAE Roundtables are scheduled.
